Patricia McKenzie Edwards is an accomplished litigator with over 15 years of experience. Patricia graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice in 1997. Following a career in telecommunications, Patricia attended law school at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida and graduated in 2007. She was admitted to practice in Georgia in November, 2007. Since then, Patricia built and operated a profitable law practice in Lawrenceville, Georgia practicing Family Immigration, Immigration Deportation Defense and Family Law. Having honed her litigation skills and seeking a collaborative environment for practicing law, Patricia joined Meriwether & Tharp, LLC in 2019 after ten years in solo practice. Patricia excelled at Meriwether & Tharp, LLC and quickly became a leader in the firm, becoming a Partner in February, 2022, and she was recently awarded Georgia Trend Legal Elite in 2022. Patricia is a certified mentor by the Georgia Supreme Court, a member of the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers, Gwinnett County Bar Association and the State Bar of Georgia. Patricia is an alumni of the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers Leadership Institute, 2014. Patricia is a leader, mentor, coach and with her expertise in litigation and Family Law, she now coaches, trains and develops attorneys and paralegals for the Atlanta Family Law Group in its mission to become a premier Atlanta Family Law Firm! Patricia likes hiking, crochet, reading, and spending time with family and friends! She can also be found obsessing over her goldendoodle, Ziggy, during her downtime!
