KIMBLEY PUCKETT – Senior Attorney
Kimbley Puckett is an accomplished family law attorney with over two decades of experience, driven by compassion and a commitment to making a positive impact on her clients’ lives. An Atlanta native, Kimbley earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Georgia and her Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University in Miami, where she received the Outstanding Achievement Award in Civil Procedure and Professionalism. While at St. Thomas, she honed her litigation skills in the Immigration Clinic, successfully advocating for asylum clients. Admitted to the Georgia State Bar in 1998, Kimbley is also licensed to practice in the Georgia Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia.
Kimbley joined Atlanta Family Law Group because the firm’s core values align with her own. She began her career advocating for survivors of domestic violence, collaborating with victim advocates, law enforcement, and judges to give survivors a voice. Her contributions to the Georgia Domestic Violence Benchbook and her seminars on estate planning highlight her dedication to supporting clients during pivotal moments in their lives. Kimbley approaches each case holistically, striving to ensure her clients emerge from challenging situations whole and ready to move forward.
Known for her empathy, professionalism, and effectiveness, Kimbley has a passion for education and community engagement. She frequently teaches seminars on topics such as estate planning, the intersection of bankruptcy and family law, and wealth-building strategies for women.
Outside of her legal practice, Kimbley enjoys cultivating meaningful relationships with family and friends through travel, dining, and social events. An avid cigar enthusiast, she participates in cigar events and fundraisers. As a single mother, Kimbley raised her two sons, Xavier and Jonathan, while managing her own law firm in McDonough, Georgia. She takes pride in the successful men they have become. At home, she enjoys the companionship of her two Yorkies, Tigger and Roo, who serve as her devoted guardians.
