ALEXA CALLAWAY

Alexa Callaway is a native to Atlanta, Georgia. She attended Georgia State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.  With initial political aspirations, she worked in the State Capitol with the House of Representative as a Legislative Aide before switching her focus to law.

Attorney Callaway’s first experience with law was in the area of family law. Since 2015, she has assisted on child custody, legitimations, contempt, divorce and TPO matters. She then attended Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School part time while working full time at a family law firm and graduated in the top sector of her class.  After passing the Georgia Bar Exam, she became a circuit defender in the Juvenile Court of Cobb County, where she zealously advocated for her clients in delinquency and dependency matters. Attorney Callaway enjoys working with her family law clients because she believes that with her life experiences and legal expertise, she can help her clients lessen the heavy burden they are shouldering and try to minimize the trauma the parties may be suffering.

As an Associate at the Atlanta Family Law Group, Attorney Callaway handles all matters regarding the family including but not limited to divorce, modifications for child custody/child support, legitimations, contempt actions and TPO matters. Attorney Callaway will give her all and ensure that she leaves no rock unturned. Her approach to each case will be with compassion, strategy and creativity. She has a strong passion for connecting with her clients by listening to truly understand each client’s priorities and work to achieve the resolution that best fits their specific needs.  As a mother, Attorney Callaway understands the impact these cases can have on your life and thus, is willing to educate, guide and protect you while navigating this difficult time.

Outside of the office, you can find her in the stands of all her son’s sporting events or chasing after her powerful goldendoodle. She enjoys traveling, hiking and spending time with her friends and family.
